I was wondering if anyone has the software and has used it, I am ordering it and wondering just how detailed it is. I am not a hiker per say but may get out once in awhile. I am thinking it should work for me (not like I have much choice). _________________ FIREARMZ- PROFESSIONAL FIREARMS TRAINING FOR PERSONAL PROTECTION OR WAR. |

If you are only looking for topo maps and typically of small areas a t a time, check out http://www.topozone.com. These are good for study and printing out small areas on multiple sheets, possibly in multiple levels of detail.
They have all the USGS maps available for free if you don't mind a slow interface and patching quads together carefully for printout. Pro/paid users can download and view in a much easier fashion (I think!).
Check out this page of William Mountain in Carroll county. (http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lon=-84.943553&lat=33.7001082&datum=nad83) |
